Zasracing

Redesign project of Zasracing’s online store to enhance its brand identity, update its visual design, and improve the user experience. In this redesign project, I aimed to emphasize product categories and improve the store’s overall usability.

Problem

The e-commerce site presented an unclear navigation structure, creating friction in the user experience. Users struggled to find products, which led to wasted time, frustration, and abandonment of the purchase process.

Objective

To reorganize the information architecture and improve the overall user experience by creating more balanced navigation, with search and filtering features, and a modern yet user-friendly interface that facilitates product catalog exploration and increases conversion.

Insights

  • Users need a coherent navigation experience that allows them to quickly find the products they are looking for along with the necessary information.
  • Most users browse on mobile, so they require simple categories, visible filters, and visually balanced product detail pages.
  • Visual content such as real photos, technical details, and reviews play a decisive role in the purchase decision.

Pain Points

  • Confusing navigation between categories, subcategories, and brands.
  • Insufficient or poorly visible filters, making it difficult to find compatible replacement parts.
  • Long product detail pages without a clear hierarchy, which makes comparison and decision-making harder.

Design Decisions

  • A complete redesign of the site’s information architecture, grouping products by category and compatibility to speed up search.
  • The inclusion of visible filters from the first scroll on mobile, prioritizing compatibility and key specifications.
  • A new product detail page with a clear hierarchy, well-organized technical information, a large gallery, and a well-positioned CTA.
  • The use of a visual aesthetic inspired by the world of motorcycling.
