Las Atelieras

Las Atelieras is an Ecommerce platform that brings together independent fashion brands of Spanish female designers. Making the buying process of their garments easier and giving them greater exposure. 

Problem

Users struggled to discover independent women-led fashion brands in Spain and to navigate a broad catalog with a clear identity and a fair-trade approach.

Objective

 To design an e-commerce experience that brings together independent fashion brands created by women in Spain, increasing their visibility and national-level conversion.From the user’s perspective, this platform allows them to explore and purchase garments from different independent brands in one place, making comparison and decision-making easier.

Insights

  • Users mainly shop from their mobile phones, so they expect a clear, inspiring, and easy-to-navigate visual experience.
  • The audience values individuality, expressiveness, and female authorship in clothing, and expects the platform to communicate this from the first contact.
  • Users need contextual visual references (outfits, collections, styles) to make purchasing decisions with greater confidence.

Pain Points

  • Difficulty finding products when the product catalog is not structured in a clear and intuitive way.
  • Lack of visual storytelling when there is no consistent identity across brands, collections, and products.
  • Perception of higher prices compared to fast fashion, which increases the need for a clearly communicated value proposition.

Design Decisions

  • Visual communication was defined through the use of color, geometry, and editorial composition, reflecting the independent, feminine, and conscious character of the brands.
  • The product catalog architecture was designed from the ground up, prioritizing simple and  intuitive navigation.
  • The product detail page was conceived as a key conversion touchpoint, with large galleries, a clearly prioritized CTA, and visible product attributes.
